ModbusSudo Industrial IIoT Gateway
SensorLoop's own IIoT gateway. It reads any Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP device and shows the data on the SensorLoop portal — in real time, with local buffering so nothing is lost when the network drops.
Everything you need between the panel and the cloud
ModbusSudo is built for electrical panels and plant floors: it talks to the devices you already have and keeps working through power and network disturbances.
Modbus RTU & TCP
Multi-device (slave) support
Local data buffering
Secure data transmission
Remote configuration
Industrial-grade reliability
Where ModbusSudo sits in your plant
Mounted inside the electrical or control panel, the gateway connects to your devices on one side and to the internet on the other.
Wire the RS-485 bus
Connect A/B terminals of each Modbus device in a daisy chain to the gateway. Each device gets a unique slave ID.
Power & connect
Power the gateway from a 9–36 V DC supply in the panel and connect Ethernet, WiFi, 4G or LoRa.
Map & go live
We map the registers you need. Values appear on your dashboard within minutes of commissioning.

One gateway, four ways to reach the cloud
Choose the link that suits each site. Mix and match across plants — all data lands in the same dashboard.
Ethernet
Plug into the plant LAN for the most stable link. Ideal when a network point is near the panel.
WiFi
Connect to an existing WiFi network without running new cables to the panel.
4G cellular
For remote pump houses, tanks and sites without internet. SIM and carrier charges extra.
LoRa
Long-range wireless link for large campuses where panels are far from the network.
Hardware is only the start
Every ModbusSudo comes connected to the SensorLoop platform, so your data is useful from day one.
- Real-time parameter monitoring from anywhere
- Remote access to industrial data on web and mobile
- Centralised dashboard for every panel and plant
- Instant alerts on WhatsApp, SMS and email
- Automated daily, weekly and monthly reports
TDS monitoring, live on the portal
Our showcase use case: an online TDS meter on an RO outlet talks Modbus over RS-485, ModbusSudo reads it every few seconds, and the SensorLoop IoT Platform shows each tank against BIS IS 10500 limits.
- Live TDS, pH, EC and flow per tank
- WhatsApp alert the moment TDS crosses the limit
- Daily compliance % for every tank and site
- TDS rising · Tank 02
- pH back in range
Designed in-house by SensorLoop
Hardware, PCB, firmware and cloud are all built by our own engineering team — the same team that takes on custom embedded projects.
